Setting Camera Authentication Information You can set the camera authentication information. Authentication information refers to the information (user name and password) required to connected to a camera. Set the camera information as described below for any camera for which authentication was not possible with the common password specified when the tool launched ([Authentication required] is displayed for [Connection Status] in the camera list) or any camera for which a connection was not possible when the camera list was updated ([Not connectable] is displayed for [Connection Status] in the camera list). 1 In the camera list, select the camera for setting authentication information. 2 Click [Camera List] > [Camera Settings] > [Authentication Information]. The [Authentication Information] dialog box appears. 3 Enter each item. (1) (2) (3) (4) (1) [Admin User Name] The default administrator user name for the camera is "root". This cannot be changed. (2) [Administrator Password] Enter the administrator password for the camera. If this is left blank, the common password is applied. (3) [Enable SSL Communications] Select this to connect to the camera using SSL communication. (4) Port number input field Specify the HTTP port number for the camera. Normally, leave this set to the default. 4 Click [OK]. Note Whether a camera was authenticated with the common password or the password specified in the [Authentication Information] dialog box can be confirmed in [Administrator Password] of the camera list. You can set the camera authentication information. Authentication information refers to the information (user name and
password) required to connected to a camera.
Set the camera information as described below for any camera for which authentication was not possible with the common
password specified when the tool launched ([Authentication required] is displayed for [Connection Status] in the camera
list) or any camera for which a connection was not possible when the camera list was updated ([Not connectable] is

The [Authentication Information] dialog box appears.
