Compaq Insight Manager performs the following functions: I Monitors fault conditions and system status I Monitors shared storage and interconnect adapters I Forwards server alert fault conditions I Remotely controls servers In Compaq servers, each hardware subsystem, such as network adapters, system processors, and system memory, has a robust set of management capabilities. Compaq Full Spectrum Fault Management notifies of impending fault conditions. Several steps are required to configure the system for Insight Manager. For example, you must: I Load Insight agents on each cluster node. I Install the Compaq Insight Manager Console. I Make sure that proper user rights are granted.
