These include an Ethernet adapter in each node connected by Ethernet cables to an Ethernet switch or hub. Non-redundant Ethernet cluster interconnect using an Ethernet switch or hub To connect two or more nodes in a redundant Ethernet cluster interconnect: 1. Insert the ends of two Ethernet cables into two Ethernet adapter ports designated for the cluster interconnect. 2. Connect the other end of one Ethernet cable to an Ethernet hub or switch. Connect the other end of the second Ethernet cable to the second Ethernet hub or switch. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for all other nodes in the cluster. 4. Install one crossover cable between the Ethernet hubs or switches.
