Error Recovery Commands 37-1 errdisable recovery This command is used to enable the error recovery for causes and to configure the recovery interval. Use the no form of this command to disable the auto-recovery option or to revert to the default setting for causes. errdisable recovery cause {all | psecure-violation | storm-control | arp-rate | dhcp-rate | loopback-detect | duld} [interval SECONDS] no errdisable recovery cause {all | psecure-violation | storm-control | arp-rate | dhcp-rate | loopbackdetect | duld} [interval] Parameters all psecure-violation storm-control arp-rate dhcp-rate loopback-detect duld interval SECONDS Specifies to enable the auto-recovery option for all causes. Specifies to enable the auto-recovery option for an error port caused by port security violation. Specifies to enable the auto-recovery option for an error port caused by storm control. Specifies to enable the auto-recovery option for an error port caused by ARP rate limiting. Specifies to enable the auto-recovery option for an error port caused by DHCP rate limiting. Specifies to enable the auto-recovery option for an error port caused by loop detection. Specifies to enable the auto-recovery option for an error port caused by D-Link Unidirectional. Specifies the time, in seconds, to recover the port from the error state caused by the specified module. The valid value is 5 to 86400. The default value is 300 seconds. Default Auto-recovery is disabled for all causes. Command Mode Global Configuration Mode. Command Default Level Level: 12. Usage Guideline A port can be put in an error disabled state by causes such as port security violations, storm control and so on. When a port enters the error disabled state, the port is shutdown although the setting running the configuration remains in the no shutdown state. There are two ways to recover an error disabled port. Administrators can use the errdisable recovery cause command to enable the auto-recovery of error ports disabled by each cause. Alternatively, administrators can manually recover the port by entering the shutdown command first and then the no shutdown command for the port. 396

This command is used to enable the error recovery for causes and to configure the recovery interval. Use the

Parameters

all

Specifies to enable the auto-recovery option for all causes.

psecure-violation

Specifies to enable the auto-recovery option for an error port caused by port

security violation.

storm-control

Specifies to enable the auto-recovery option for an error port caused by storm

control.

arp-rate

Specifies to enable the auto-recovery option for an error port caused by ARP rate

limiting.

dhcp-rate

Specifies to enable the auto-recovery option for an error port caused by DHCP rate

limiting.

loopback-detect

Specifies to enable the auto-recovery option for an error port caused by loop

detection.

duld

Specifies to enable the auto-recovery option for an error port caused by D-Link

Unidirectional.

interval

SECONDS
