Load the document to be copied into the ADF. Ensure that the document is properly inserted. 2. Press Scroll () to select Copy and press Select (P). 3. Press Scroll () to customize the number of copies and press Select (P). The message Saved is displayed. 4. Press Scroll () to select Layout and press Select (P). 5. Press Scroll () to select Collation and press Select (P). NOTE: If the document is not inserted properly, the message Put paper in ADF is displayed. 6. Press Start (u) to begin copying. NOTE: If necessary, customize the copy settings including number of copies, contrast, and image quality by using the Copy menus. See Setting Copy Options. Changing the Default Settings The copy options, including contrast, image quality, copy size, and the number of copies, can be set to the most frequently used modes. When you copy a document, the default settings are used unless changed using Copy menus. NOTE: While you set copy options, pressing Cancel (V) cancels the changed settings and returns to the default status. To create your own default settings: 1. Press Scroll () to select Copy and press Select (P). 2. Press Scroll () to select Copy Defaults and press Select (P). 3. Press Scroll () to scroll through the setup options described previously (see Setting Copy Options). 4. When the option you want to set appears, press Select (P) to access the option. 5. Change the setting using the Scroll () or enter the value using the number keypad. 6. Press Select (P) to save the selection. 7. Repeat steps 3 through 6, as required. 8. Changing the Default Settings
