Table 31. System setup options-Power menu Power Thermal Management Enables or disables cooling of fan and manages processor heat to adjust the computer performance, noise, and temperature. By default, the Optimized option is selected. Standard setting for balanced performance, noise, and temperature. USB Wake Support Wake on Dell USB-C Dock When enabled, connecting a Dell USB-C Dock wakes the computer from Standby, Hibernate, and Power Off. By default, this option is enabled. AC Behavior AC Recovery Configures the system response when power is restored after an unexpected loss of power. By default, the Power OFF option is selected. System stays off after AC power is restored. Active State Power Management ASPM Configures the Active State Power Management (ASPM) level. Auto: There is handshaking between the device and PCI Express hub to determine the best ASPM mode supported by the device. Disabled: ASPM power management is turned off at all times. L1 only: ASPM power management is set to use L1. By default, the Auto option is selected. Block Sleep Enables or disables the computer from entering Sleep (S3) mode in the operating system. By default, the Block Sleep option is disabled. NOTE: When enabled, the computer does not go to Sleep, Intel Rapid Start is disabled automatically, and the operating system power option is blank if it was set to Sleep. Deep Sleep Control Deep Sleep Control Configures how aggressive the system is at conserving power while in Shutdown (S5) or Hibernate (S4) mode. When this option is enabled, more power is conserved NOTE: Deep Sleep Control must be disabled in order for the "Wake from USB keyboard and mouse" feature to work in the Shutdown (S5) or in Hibernation Mode (S4). By default, the Enabled in S4 and S5 option is selected. Intel Speed Shift Technology Enables or disables the Intel Speed Shift Technology support. When enabled, the operating system selects the appropriate processor performance automatically. By default, the Intel Speed Shift Technology option is enabled. Table 32.
