NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the back panel) on the computer. NOTICE: The hinge cover is fragile and can be damaged if extreme force is used. Be careful when removing the hinge cover. 1. Follow the instructions in Before Working Inside Your Computer. 2. Open the display all the way (180 degrees) so that it lies flat against your work surface. 3. Using a small flat-blade screwdriver, insert the screwdriver on the right side to gently pry the hinge cover loose. 4. Pulling up from right to left, remove the hinge cover. 1 hinge cover 5. With the display open all the way (180 degrees) so that it lies flat against the work surface, snap the cover back into place, starting from left to right. Back to Contents Page

Follow the instructions in
Before Working Inside Your Computer
.
2.
Open the display all the way (180 degrees) so that it lies flat against your work surface.
3.
Using a small flat-blade screwdriver, insert the screwdriver on the right side to gently pry the hinge cover loose.
4.
Pulling up from right to left, remove the hinge cover.
5.
With the display open all the way (180 degrees) so that it lies flat against the work surface, snap the cover back into place, starting from left to right.
