Connecting the Printer to Your Computer Connecting a serial interface cable The EPL-7500 has two serial channels, one wired to a 25-pin (RS-232) connector, and the other to an S-pin (RS-422) connector, either of which can be used for conventional asynchronous serial communication. If you want to use one of the printer's serial interfaces, make sure that you have a properly shielded cable and that it is the correct one for your computer and the EPL-7500. Be sure to change the SelecType Level 2 INTERFACE setting to the serial mode you want to use before you connect the interface. Save the new setting with the SAVE LEVEL 2 option. See Chapter 3 for instructions on changing SelecType settings. Connecting the RS-232 serial interface cable Follow these steps to connect the RS-232 serial interface cable: 1. Turn off both the printer and computer. Then unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet. 2. Connecting the Printer to Your Computer
Connecting a serial interface cable
The EPL-7500 has two serial channels, one wired to a 25-pin
(RS-232)
connector, and the other to an S-pin
(RS-422)
connector,
either of which can be used for conventional asynchronous serial
communication.
If you want to use one of the printer’s serial interfaces, make sure
that you have a properly shielded cable and that it is the correct
one for your computer and the EPL-7500. Be sure to change the
SelecType Level 2 INTERFACE setting to the serial mode you want
to use before you connect the interface. Save the new setting with
the SAVE LEVEL 2 option. See Chapter 3 for instructions on
changing SelecType settings.
Connecting the RS-232 serial interface cable
Follow these steps to connect the RS-232 serial interface cable:

Turn off both the printer and computer. Then unplug the
power cord from the electrical outlet.
