To make starting StylusRIP easy and to allow you to drag and drop PostScript files for printing, create an alias of the StylusRIP Server program on your desktop. Click the StylusRIP Server icon and select Make Alias from the File menu. Then drag the alias icon to your desktop. See page 2-12 for instructions on drag and drop printing. Follow these steps to set up the StylusRIP Server software so it starts automatically each time you turn on or restart your Macintosh: 1. Turn on the printer and the standalone or print server Macintosh. 2. Click the StylusRIP Server icon in the StylusRIP folder. 3. In the File menu, select Make Alias. The software creates a StylusRIP Server Alias icon in your StylusRIP folder. 4. Drag the StylusRIP Server Alias icon to your desktop. 5. Open the System folder and locate the Startup Items folder. 2-7
