5 WEATHER The Flight Information Services (FIS-B) function is capable of displaying textual and graphic weather information. No subscription for FIS-B services is required. FIS-B is based on a ground-to-air data link that requires the aircraft to be within reception range of the Ground Broadcast Transceiver (GBT).
