Initial setup of encrypted LUNs IMPORTANT: While performing first-time encryption to a LUN with more than one initiator active at the time, rekey operations slow to a standstill. Define LUNs for a single initiator at a time to avoid this occurrence. NOTE: When configuring multipath LUNs, care should be taken to add LUN 0 on all of the paths, subject to the following considerations: • If LUN 0 presented by the back-end target is a controller LUN (not a disk LUN; that is, not visible in the discoverLUN output), add LUN 0 to the container as a clear text LUN for any multi-path configuration. Make sure all of the paths have this LUN 0 added for MPIO operation (EVA configuration, for example). • If LUN 0 presented by the back-end target is a disk LUN, LUN 0 can be added to the container either as clear text or encrypted (MSA configuration, for example). • For HP-UX, LUN 0 can appear as 0x0 or 0x400, but both of them are LUN 0 only and should be treated alike. Table 7 Fabric OS7.0.0 closed defects Closed fixes summary Solution Removing an active CP from a fully populated HP StorageWorks 4/256 SAN Director switch (which is 384 F-ports) causes some FC_Port blades to reinitialize and possible frame drops. Workaround prior to upgrade: Before HA failover starts, make sure the response trap installed on the ports have been cleaned up. Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.0. Stress on the fabric involving slot power cycling of all the blades in sequence with CP HA Failover results in CP panic and termination of process fwd. Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.0 After changing native VLAN on a converged mode port, the HP 2408 FCoE Switch reports VLAN has changed, but traffic capture shows that both old and new VLANs are now native VLANs on that port. Workaround prior to upgrade: Remove the Native-VLAN from the tagged list before changing it. Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.0. Scalability stress may cause NSD to panic and crash on a HP Storage- Works 4/32 SAN Switch when enabling zoning with Top Talkers Fixed in Fabric OS 7.0.0. enabled. 44
