Remove the power supply blank. To replace a power supply blank: 1. Slide the power supply blank into the bay until it locks into place. 2. Swing the cable management arm into place and lock it. Hot-Plug Fan To remove the component: 1. Extend or remove the server from the rack ("Extending the Server from the Rack" on page 15, "Removing the Server from the Rack" on page 16). 2. Remove the access panel ("Removing the Access Panel" on page 17). 3. Determine whether the fan is operating with redundancy: − If the fan zone is not operating with redundancy, power down the server ("Powering Down the Server" on page 14). − If the fan zone is operating with redundancy, continue with the next step.
