Removing or Installing an Expansion Card The computer has two standard PCI expansion slots that can accommodate an expansion card up to 17.46 cm (6.875 inches) in length. The computer also has one PCI Express x1 expansion slot and one ADD2/SDVO expansion slot. ADD2 cards are used to give multi-monitor capabilities to the integrated graphics controller. The ADD2/SDVO connector on the system board has the physical appearance of a PCI Express x16 connector; however, the platform does NOT support the use of conventional PCI Express cards or reversed-layout ADD2 cards. To remove, replace, or add an expansion card: 1. Remove/disengage any security devices that prohibit opening the computer. 2. Remove all removable media, such as diskettes or compact discs, from the computer. 3. Turn off the computer properly through the operating system, then turn off any external devices. 4.
