Description For use only with computer models equipped with an Intel 1.4 GHz processor, but not WWAN capability (includes replacement thermal material) For use only with computer models equipped with an Intel 1.6 GHz processor but not WWAN capability (includes replacement thermal material) Spare part number 672351-001 672352-001 Before removing the system board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the base enclosure screws (see Base enclosure on page 25). 5. Remove the keyboard (see Keyboard on page 26), 6. Remove the top cover (see Top cover on page 28). 7. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 32). 8. Remove the WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 36). 9. Remove the hard drive (see Hard drive on page 40). 10. Disconnect the display panel cable from the system board (see Display panel on page 34). 11. Remove the speaker (see Speakers on page 42). 12. Remove the power connector and cable (see Power connector cable on page 44). 13. Remove the USB/Audio and cable (see USB/Audio). When replacing the system board, be sure that the following components are removed from the defective system board and installed on the replacement system board: ● RTC battery (see RTC battery on page 39) ● Memory module (see Memory module on page 41) ● Power connector cable (see Power connector cable on page 44) ● Fan (see Fan/Heat sink on page 46) ● Heat sink (see Fan/Heat sink on page 46) ● WLAN module see (WLAN module on page 36). ● Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 40). ● USB/Audio (see USB/Audio) ● Display panel cable (see Display panel on page 34). Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the base enclosure screws (see

Remove the keyboard (see

6.
Remove the top cover (see

7.
Remove the battery (see
