Remove the following: (1) Rubber screw plugs on the front edge of the base enclosure (2) Oblong screw cover in the middle of the base enclosure (3) Rear rubber foot strip The rubber screw plugs, oblong screw cover, and the rear rubber foot strip are available in the Rubber Kits, spare part numbers 856021-001 (for use on computers models in modern gold finish) and 856020-001 (for use on computers models in natural silver finish). 4. Remove the five Phillips PM2.0×5.0 screws (1) and the five Phillips PM2.4×5.7 screws (2) that secure the keyboard/top cover to the base enclosure. 5. 5.
Turn the computer right side up with the front toward you.
