Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the keyboard/top cover (see Keyboard/top cover on page 34). Remove the battery: 1. Disconnect the battery cable (1) from the system board. 2. Remove the six Phillips PM2.0×4.6 screws (2) that secure the battery to the base enclosure. 3. Remove the battery (3).
