Touchpad To remove the touchpad, use this procedure and illustration. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 29). 2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 29). 3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 31). Remove the touchpad: 1. Disconnect the touchpad cable from the ZIF connector on the touchpad (1). 2. Remove the rubber piece that covers the middle screw (2). 3. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws (3) that secure the touchpad to the computer. 4. Lift the top of the touchpad up to about 45° (4), and then pull the touchpad into the computer to remove it (5).
