Fingerprint reader To remove the fingerprint reader, use this procedure and illustration. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 29). 2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 29). 3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 31). 4. Remove the fan (see Fan on page 37). 5. Remove the system board (see System board on page 42). Remove the fingerprint reader: 1. Disconnect the fingerprint reader cable to the system board (1). 2. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screw (2) that secures the fingerprint reader bracket to the computer. 3. Remove the bracket from on top of the fingerprint reader (3). 4. Remove the fingerprint reader from the computer (4). Fan Reverse this procedure to install the fingerprint reader. To remove the fan, use this procedure and illustration.
