Remove the palm rest (see Palm rest on page 76). 12. Remove the hard drive (see Hard drive on page 78). 13. Remove the top cover (see Top cover on page 92). Remove the modem module: 1. Position the computer right-side up with the front toward you. 2. Remove the two Phillips PM2.5×3.0 screws (1) that secure the modem module to the system board. 3. Lift the modem module (2) straight up from the system board. 4. Disconnect the modem module cable (3). The modem module cable is spared in the Cable kit spare part number 599807-001. 5.
