1 Setting Up and Using Your PC Using Power Management Setup Program Using Power Management Power management enables you to reduce the PC's overall power consumption by slowing down its activity when it is idle. You can configure power management in the Setup program. Refer to Advanced - Power Management Setup in the Setup program. (To enter the PC's Setup program, press during startup.) Refer to your operating system documentation for detailed information about the capabilities of your operating system to implement power management. Desktop Management with HP TopTools for Desktops HP TopTools for Desktops is provided on preloaded Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 models. To start HP TopTools for Desktops or to consult the TopTools online help in Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 95, click the Start button and look for the HP DMI entry in the Programs menu.
