Page 5 highlights

Equipped with new lithium-ion battery (BCL 1015) The Type BCL 1015 lithium-ion battery (10.8/12 V PEAK, 1.5 Ah) can be fully charged by using the Model UC 10SFL Charger in about 40 minutes. The Type BCL 1015 is equipped with an overdischarge protection circuit, overload protection circuit, battery overheat protection circuit and voltage monitoring circuit for each cell to prevent any reduction in battery service life due to overdischarge (overuse) or overcharge (excessive charging). This battery is safe thanks to these protection circuits. Precautions on using the Type BCL 1015 lithium-ion battery The Type BCL 1015 lithium-ion battery is equipped with a protective function that automatically stops output to prolong battery service life. The motor may stop automatically due to the causes described in (1), (2) and (3) below, even if the switch is continuously pressed during operation. This is because the protective function described for each cause is activated. The motor is not faulty. Protective function Cause of trouble (1) Overdischarge protection circuit Battery voltage drops to about 6 V (2) Overload protection circuit Heavy-duty work (3) Battery overheat Continuous operation protection circuit or heavy-duty work Countermeasure Recharge the battery immediately. Release the switch and eliminate the cause of the overload problem. Remove the battery from the tool and allow it to cool down. x BCL 1015 x UC 10SFL Voltage 12 V PEAK 10.8 V Nominal Voltage Time / Discharge Explanation of 12V Peak : Initial no-load voltage, when fully charged, peaks between 12 to 12.4 Volts. During the battery cycle under a typical load, voltage averages at 10.8 Volts. -2-
