5 CONNECTING AND MAINTENANCE D About the antenna unit IMPORTANT! The antenna unit must have an adequate ground connection. Otherwise, the antenna circuit may be damaged by a lightning strike or static electricity. Interference, RF feedback, and electrical shocks from other equipment could also occur. Contact your dealer for details of how to install them. NOTE: • Confirm that the serial numbers of the antenna unit and the main unit are the same. • The Main unit provides electrical power to the antenna unit by POE (Power over Ethernet). The supplied LAN cable is a Shielded Ethernet Cable, so that use the supplied cable to connect the antenna and the main unit. D Installation example Use wing nuts or regular nuts, if necessary. On a wall: On a mast: Self-tapping screws (M6) Grounding cable (User supplied): Tighten the grounding cable together with the bolt that secures the antenna unit. L Any of the screws can be fastened together.
