NS-32L430A11 Insignia 32" LCD TV 720p Connecting headphones The TV speakers are muted when headphones are connected. Warning Loud noise can damage your hearing. When using headphones, use the lowest volume setting on your headphones that still lets you hear the sound. To connect headphones: • Plug headphones into the HEADPHONE jack on the back of your TV. Connecting a digital sound system To connect a digital sound system: 1 Make sure that your TV's power cord is unplugged and the digital sound system is turned off. 2 Connect a digital optical (Toslink) cable (not provided) to the DIGITAL OUTPUT jack on the back of your TV and to the SPDIF IN jack on the digital audio system. Digital audio system To play audio from a digital audio device: 1 Turn on your TV. 2 Make sure that the Speakers option on the Advanced Audio sub-menu is set to External. For more information, see "Adjusting sound settings" on page 23. 3 Turn on the digital audio device and set it to the correct output mode. Connecting headphones
The TV speakers are muted when headphones are
connected.
To connect headphones:
Plug headphones into the
HEADPHONE
jack on
the back of your TV.
Connecting a digital sound system
To connect a digital sound system:

Make sure that your TV’s power cord is
unplugged and the digital sound system is
turned off.

Connect a digital optical (Toslink) cable (not
provided) to the
DIGITAL OUTPUT
jack on the
back of your TV and to the
SPDIF IN
jack on the
digital audio system.
To play audio from a digital audio device:

Turn on your TV.

Make sure that the
Speakers

External
. For
