Initial Setup Noise Muting This feature inserts a blank black screen over channels which are not broadcasting or are too weak to be received clearly. Press the MENU button Initial Setup 1/2 π† √® π† √® To "Initial Setup" To enter To "Noise Muting" To turn "On" or "Off" Press the MENU button when finished Noise Muting Language Front Panel Lock V-Chip Set Lock Code Closed Caption On English Off Note: Select • Noise muting will not work when you operate channel summary. BACK Operate Back MENU Exit Language The language function is described on page 21 as the interactive plug-in menu. If you need to choose the language again, follow the steps below. π† √® π† √® Press the MENU button To "Initial Setup" To enter To "Language" To choose a language: English, Français or Español Press the MENU button when finished Initial Setup 1/2 Noise Muting Language Front Panel Lock V-Chip Set Lock Code Closed Caption On English Off Select BACK Operate Back MENU Exit Front Panel Lock This allows you to lock the keys on the side of the TV, so that a child may not accidentally change your viewing preferences. π† √® π† √® Press the MENU button To "Initial Setup" To enter To "Front Panel Lock" To turn "On" or "Off" Press the MENU button when finished Initial Setup Noise Muting Language Front Panel Lock V-Chip Set Lock Code Closed Caption 1/2 On English Off Select BACK Operate Back MENU Exit You can turn off this feature in the following ways: - Unplug the power cord, and plug it back in. Do this if your batteries die, or you lose your remote control. - Use the remote control. - Press the MENU button on the front of the TV for more than 3 seconds. In this case, the OSD for "Front Panel Lock" will appear. Note: • To turn On/Off the TV, press the POWER button on the front of the TV for more than 3 seconds. This feature will remain On. 28
