Chapter 3 Taking Close-up Videos When you are taking videos at close range, from 10 to 24 inches (25 to 60cm), use the Close-up setting to gain sharpness and detail. To turn on Close-up: 1 Turn the Mode dial to Video , then press the Menu button. 2 Highlight the Close-up menu , then press Select. 3 Highlight the On option, then press the Select button. 4 Press the Menu button to turn off the menu screen. The Close-up setting reverts to Off when you turn off the camera. Putting Yourself in the Video The Self Timer creates a 10-second delay between the time you press the Shutter button and the time the video begins recording. This setting is ideal when you want to include yourself in the video. Turn on the Self Timer: 1 Turn the Mode dial to Video , then press the Menu button. 2 Highlight the Self Timer menu , then press the Select button. 3 Highlight the On option, then press the Select button. 4 Press the Menu button to turn off the menu screen. 27
