Reference: Software Updating Procedure Procedure to Check Software Version The software version of the L26W56X may be checked by accessing the INSTALLER MENU. If report window shows "all is done and you may power off", power off. Below order should be kept for UART upgrading. 1. Power off TV. 2. Select CONTROL using RS-232C SELECT switch in the rear. 3. Open the Windows HyperTerminal program. Set the properties to 115200, N 8 1, No Handshake and select the port to be used. Click on the disconnect and connect icons for the new setting to take place. 4. Connect the DB9 Connector labeled RS-232C to the PC COM port. 5. Hold down the UPDATE switch while applying AC power. The FLASH LOADER menu should show on the PC screen. 6. Press "a " to erase the flash memory. After approximately 3 seconds, the terminal will refresh the FLASH LOADER menu. 7. Press "b" to program S2 records into program memory. Terminal will echo the 'b'. 8. On HyperTerminal program, click "Transfer", "Send Text File". Enter or select the file name of the software update (ex: s2_c.s19). Click "Open". The update will start. While transfer and programming is in progress, the terminal will display a series of "*"s. Programming will take approximately 15 seconds. After this time, the FLASH LOADER menu will be redisplayed. 9. After updating, remove all connections to the TV. PAGE 52

Procedure to Check Software Version
The software version of the L26W56X may be checked by accessing the INSTALLER MENU. To do this, press the MENU button at least 10 times
until the menu display ceases to respond to MENU key presses.
Then, press "9", "8", "7", "6", "ENTER/SELECT".
SW Upgrade Strategy using UART
UART upgrading is separate upgrading scheme (i.e., CPU and PTC).
D-SUB 9pin type RS232C is used for service and serial update.
CPU Upgrade Procedure
Below order should be kept for UART upgrading.
1.
Power off the TV.
2.
Select NORMAL(DTV) using RS-232C SELECT switch in the rear.
3.
Connect the DB9 Connector labeled RS-232C to the PC COM port.
4.
Run PC
s dedicated program "KMCOMM.exe".
5.
Configure for downloading, port number, file browsing, etc.
In this case, Model is SupraHD always, Data Type is Application

Extension that file is updated is ".mem".
6.
Press "connect" and "ready"
7.
Power on the TV.
8.

9.
Never power off although progress bar is 100%, because progress

10. If report window shows "all is done and you may power off",
power off.

Below order should be kept for UART upgrading.
1.
Power off TV.
2.
Select CONTROL using RS-232C SELECT switch in the rear.
3.
Open the Windows HyperTerminal program. Set the properties to
