24 OPERATION Adding Detergent 1 Slide the drawer open, open the lid, and load laundry in the tub. ••Measure the detergent with the detergent dispenser and pour it into the tub. 2 Close the lid, slide the drawer closed, and press the Start/Pause button to start the cycle. Method 2: If You Miss the Add Point 1 Press the Power button to interrupt the cycle. 2 Select the Rinse+Spin cycle and press the Start/ Pause button to start the cycle. 3 Add the fabric softener at the chimes following instructions above. Adding Softeners Adding Fabric Softener Method 1: When the Washer Chimes 1 Press Start/Pause to pause the cycle. ••The cycle can be paused using the button on the side of the Mini Washer or using the remote control. If the washer is paired with the Main Washer, it can also be paused from the Main Washer's display. 2 Slide the drawer open, open the lid, and add liquid fabric softener. 3 Close the lid, slide the drawer closed, and press Start/Pause to restart the cycle. NOTE ••To disable or enable the fabric softener alert, press and hold the Rinse+Spin and Extra Rinse buttons for 3 seconds. ••The fabric softener should be added within 30 seconds of hearing the chime. NOTE ••Make sure there is water in the tub before adding liquid fabric softener. ••The softener can also be diluted with water and added directly into the tub. Do not pour undiluted softener directly onto clothing because it may stain fabrics. Adding Water Softener ••A water softener, such as anti-limescale (e.g. Calgon) can be used to cut down on the use of detergent in extremely hard water areas. Dispense according to the amount specified on the packaging. First add detergent and then the water softener. ••Use the quantity of detergent required for soft water. CAUTION ••Liquid chlorine bleach or powdered bleach cannot be used in the Mini Washer. To use bleach, use the Main Washer and follow instructions in the owner's manual for that machine. ••Do not place or store laundry products, such as detergent, bleach, or liquid fabric softener, on top of the washer. Wipe up any spills immediately. These products can damage controls.

laundry in the tub.
Measure the detergent with the detergent
dispenser and pour it into the tub.

Close the lid, slide the drawer closed, and press
the
Start/Pause
button to start the cycle.
Adding Softeners
Adding Fabric Softener
Method 1: When the Washer Chimes

Press
Start/Pause
to pause the cycle.
The cycle can be paused using the button on
the side of the Mini Washer or using the remote
control. If the washer is paired with the Main
Washer, it can also be paused from the Main
Washer's display.

Slide the drawer open, open the lid, and add
liquid fabric softener.

Close the lid, slide the drawer closed, and press
Start/Pause
to restart the cycle.
NOTE
To disable or enable the fabric softener alert, press
and hold the
Rinse+Spin
and
Extra Rinse
buttons
for 3 seconds.
The fabric softener should be added within 30
seconds of hearing the chime.
Method 2: If You Miss the Add Point

cycle and press the
Start/
Pause
button to start the cycle.

Add the fabric softener at the chimes following

NOTE
Make sure there is water in the tub before adding
liquid fabric softener.
The softener can also be diluted with water and
added directly into the tub. Do not pour undiluted
softener directly onto clothing because it may stain
fabrics.
Adding Water Softener
A water softener, such as anti-limescale (e.g.
Calgon) can be used to cut down on the use of
detergent in extremely hard water areas. Dispense
according to the amount specified on the packaging.
First add detergent and then the water softener.
