LaCie 5big Backup Server Configuration Guide 3.3. Computer Backups By default, all of the hard drive volumes on each computer are backed up every night after you install the Connector software. You may change the backup schedules to meet the needs of your business. To customize a computer backup 1. Click the Computers & Backup tab in the Console. (Fig. 23). 2. Right-click the computer that you want to customize, and then click Configure Backup. 3. Complete the Backup Configuration Wizard to choose harddrive volumes to back up and, if applicable, to exclude folders that do not require backup. To make changes without using the Backup Configuration Wizard: 1. Click Settings in upper right corner of the Console. 2. Choose Backup from the list on the left of the Settings window (Fig. 24). 3. Adjust backup settings such as time of day, how long to store backups, etc. (Fig. 25) IMPORTANT INFO: LaCie recommends using the 5big Backup Server in a small network environment with a maximum of ten Windows workstations.
