To install a DIMM: 1. Remove the cover. See "Removing the cover" on page 31. 2. You might have to remove an adapter to gain access to the DIMM slots. See "Installing adapters" on page 34. 3. Locate the DIMM connectors. See "Identifying parts on the system board" on page 32. 4. Open the retaining clips. 5. Make sure the notches in the DIMM align with the tabs on the connector. Push or insert the DIMM straight down into the connector until the retaining clips close. Installing adapters This section provides information and instructions for installing and removing adapters. install

DIMM:
1.
Remove
the
cover.

remove

adapter

gain
access
to
the
DIMM
slots.

3.
Locate
the
DIMM
connectors.

“Identifying

4.
Open
the
retaining
clips.
5.
Make
sure
the
notches
in
the
DIMM
align
with
the
tabs
on
the
connector.
Push
or
insert
the
DIMM
straight
down
into
the
connector
until
the
retaining
clips
close.
