Configuring Phone Service and Voice Mail Outbound Call Routing 5 Configuring Steering Digits Follow this procedure to configure the steering digits. STEP 1 Start Internet Explorer, and then enter the IP address of the SPA9000. Click Admin Login and then click Advanced. STEP 2 Click Voice tab > SIP. STEP 3 To configure the call routing rules for outbound calls, complete the following tasks: a. Scroll down to the PBX Parameters section. b. Edit the Call Routing Rule to include a code for the voice mail server, as described below. NOTE The default string is: (9xx.) SYNTAX: (digitsxx. | digitsxx. | digitsxx. | digitsxx.) • L1, L2, L3, L4: The lines that are configured on the SPA9000 Voice tab > Line pages (Line 1 ... Line 4). • Backupline: The line interface number of the PSTN/ISDN line that is used for backup of the ITSP VoIP Service (i.e. 2, 3, 4). It is assumed and recommended that ITSP connection is configured always on Line 1, whereas Line 2, Line 3, and Line 4 can be used for connecting to the PSTN (via SPA400) or ISDN (via a third party gateway). • Digits: The steering digits that are used to select the corresponding line; for example 9. EXAMPLE 1: In this example, a user would press 9 for Line 1 and 8 for Line 2: 9xx. | 8xx.) Configuring Steering Digits
Follow this procedure to configure the steering digits.
STEP 1
