BIOS Setup TX, RX inverting enable This item allows you to enable the TX, RX inverting which depends on different H/W requirement. This field is not recommended to change its default setting for avoiding any error in your system. Settings: "No, No", "No, Yes", "Yes, No" and "Yes, Yes." Parallel Port This specifies the I/O port address and IRQ of the onboard parallel port. Settings: 378/IRQ7, 278/IRQ5, 3BC/IRQ7, Disabled. If you have an ISA add-on card, the suggested configuration is as below: If the ISA add-on card has LPT1 I/O:378H 9 9 9 X 9 X X X LPT2 I/O:278H 9 9 X 9 X 9 X X LPT3 I/O:3BCH 9 X 9 9 X X 9 X Onboard parallel port to be set as PORT ASSIGNED Disabled LPT3 LPT2 LPT1 LPT2 LPT1 LPT1 LPT1 IRQ ASSIGNED X 5 5 7 5 7 7 7 Note: If the onboard parallel port interrupt and ISA add-on card interrupt are in conflict, the parallel port will not work properly. Please disable one of the devices. Onboard Parallel Mode This item selects the operating mode for the parallel port: Normal, EPP, ECP or ECP/EPP. Normal: Standard Parallel Port EPP: Enhanced Parallel Port ECP: Extended Capability Port ECP/EPP: Extended Capability Port + Enhanced Parallel Port ECP Mode Use DMA The ECP mode has to use the DMA channel, so after the user chooses the onboard parallel port with the ECP feature, the setting "ECP Mode Use 3-19
