BIOS Setup AC97 Audio This item is used to enable or disable the onboard AC'97 (Audio Codec'97) feature. Selecting [Auto] allows the mainboard to detect whether an audio device is used. If an audio device is detected, the onboard AC'97 controller will be enabled; if not, the controller is disabled. Disable the function if you want to use other controller cards to connect an audio device. Settings: [Disabled] and [Auto]. Onboard LAN Controller This setting controls the onboard LAN controller. Setting options: [Enabled], [Disabled]. OnBoard LAN P.M.E. (Available only when VIA LAN chipset is intergrated) This setting is used to enable/disable the onboard LAN PME (Power Management Event). Setting options: [Enabled], [Disabled]. Boot ROM Function This item enables or disables the initialization of the onboard LAN Boot ROM during bootup. Selecting [Disabled] will speed up the boot process. Set Super I/O Press and the following sub-menu appears. Floopy Controller The item is used to enable or disable the onboard Floppy controller. Select [Enabled] when you have installed a floppy disk drive and want to use it. Options: [Auto], [Enabled], [Disabled]. Serial PortA The items specify the base I/O port address and IRQ for the onboard Serial Port A. Selecting [Auto] allows BIOS to automatically determine the correct base I/O port address. Settings: [Auto], [Disabled], [3F8/COM1], [2F8/COM2], [3E8/COM3], [2E8/COM4]. Parallel Port These items specify the base I/O port addresses of the onboard parallel port. Selecting [Auto] allows AMIBIOS to automatically determine the correct base I/O port address. Settings: [Auto], [Disabled], [378], [278], [3BC]. 3-21
