MS-7043 ATX Mainboard Frequency/Voltage Control Use this menu to specify your settings for frequency/voltage control. Spread Spectrum When the motherboard's clock generator pulses, the extreme values (spikes) of the pulses creates EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). The Spread Spectrum function reduces the EMI generated by modulating the pulses so that the spikes of the pulses are reduced to flatter curves. If you do not have any EMI problem, leave the setting at [Disabled] for optimal system stability and performance. But if you are plagued by EMI, set to [Enabled] for EMI reduction. Remember to disable Spread Spectrum if you are overclocking because even a slight jitter can introduce a temporary boost in clock speed which may just cause your overclocked processor to lock up. Stop Unused PCI Clock This item enables or disables the PCI slot clock. Setting options: [Enabled], [Disabled]. Dynamic Overclocking Dynamic Overclocking Technology is the automatic overclocking function, included in the MSITM newly developed CoreCellTM Technology. It is designed to detect the load balance of CPU while running programs, and to adjust the best CPU frequency automatically. When the motherboard detects that the CPU is running programs, it will speed up CPU automatically to make the program run smoothly and faster. When the CPU is temporarily suspending or staying in the low load balance, it will restore the default settings instead. Usually the Dynamic Overclocking Technology will be powered only when users' PC need to run huge amount of data like 3D games or the video 3-24
