Do you have a valid SIM card inserted in your phone? Does the handset have a signal? Do you see a signal showing in the display? Is the earpiece volume too low? Is the other party unable to hear you? Answer The battery level indicator should show at least one bar (segment) of power. If it does not, please recharge your phone's battery. (See "Changing Your Phone" on Page 16.) If the battery level indicator has three bars showing, then your phone's battery is fully charged. If necessary, turn off your phone and make sure that you have inserted a valid SIM card. The signal strength indicator should have at least one segment showing. If it does not, move to an area with a stronger signal to use your phone. While on a call, scroll up. Your phone may be muted. You may take the call off of mute by making the appropriate soft key selection. (See page 17, Adjusting the Volume.) Also, you and/or the person you are speaking with may be in a weak network coverage area. Make sure that your phone's microphone is not obstructed. Troubleshooting - 63

Check these questions first if you have problems with your phone:
