Appendix B Cabling Specifications This appendix provides specifications for cables used with the NETGEAR Model EN516 Ethernet Hub. Cable Specifications For 10 Mbps connections, Category 3, 4, or 5 cables can be used. NETGEAR highly recommends using Category 5 cable to avoid unnecessary expense or confusion if you upgrade to Fast Ethernet. Table B-1 lists the electrical requirements of Category 3, 4, and 5 cables.
