Wireless Network Configuration 2 For a wireless connection, the SSID, (also known as the wireless network name), and the wireless security settings must be the same for the router and wireless computers or wireless adapters. NETGEAR strongly recommends that you use wireless security. The router is pre-configured with WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK mixed mode and uses a unique SSID and passphrase. This information is printed on the label on the bottom of the router. Use this information to setup your WiFi computer and devices. This chapter addresses the following: • Planning Your Wireless Network • Manually Configure Your Wireless Settings • Use Push 'N' Connect (WPS) to Configure Your Wireless Network Note: Computers can connect wirelessly at a range of several hundred feet.
