• PROLONG BATTERY LIFE For good operation times with NiMH batteries, discharge the battery from time to time by leaving your phone switched on until it turns itself off. Ignore any messages to recharge your battery and let the battery completely discharge. Note: Do not attempt to discharge the battery by any other means. • HEADSET Your phone is compatible with the HDC-5, HDE-2 and HDB-5 headsets. To connect the headset: 1 Plug the headset jack into the bottom of your phone. 2 Put the earbud into one ear. With the headset connected, you can make and answer calls as usual. The microphone for the headset hangs at the side of your head. Although the microphone may seem far from your mouth, you can speak at a normal volume. Note: You can set your phone to answer automatically when the headset is connected.
