Messaging into easy to read conversations. This gives you the ability to easily view entire conversations with a single contact in a chat-like interface. You can read, create, send, and save messages. To send the message, select Send. The device saves the message in the Sent folder and sending starts. When sending messages, your device may display the words Message sent. This indicates that the message has been sent by your device to the message center number programed into your device. For more details about messaging services, contact your service provider. Note: The message sent icon or text on your device screen does not indicate that the message is received at the intended destination. Text and multimedia messages You can create a message and optionally attach a file such as an image or audio clip. Your device automatically changes a text message to a multimedia message when a file is attached. ■ Text messages Your device supports the sending of text messages beyond the character limit for a single message. Longer messages are sent as a series of two or more messages. Your service provider may charge accordingly. Characters that use accents or other marks and characters from some language options, such as Spanish, take up more space, which limits the number of characters that can be sent in a single message. An indicator at the top of the display shows the total number of characters left and the number of messages needed for sending. 48
