Histogram - Displaying the luminance distribution of still pictures During still picture shooting, you can display a histogram showing the brightness and contrast of your subject in the viewfinder or on the monitor. You can also display the black and white areas directly on the image. Checking the histogram during shooting enables precise exposure control. OFF F ON ON DIRECT The histogram is not displayed. If the peak fills too much of the left frame, the image will appear mostly black. The part indicated in green in the histogram shows the luminance distribution within the histogram target mark. Ex.
