Focusing applications P-AF - Changing the auto focus mode For auto focusing, this camera is equipped with a contrast detection system measured by CCD and a phase difference detection system measured by AF sensor. You can select whether to use only the contrast detection system or to use the contrast detection system in conjunction with the phase difference detection system. AF sensor OFF ON The camera focuses on the subject using only the contrast detection system. The camera focuses on the subject using both the contrast detection system and the phase difference detection system. Focusing is performed faster than when OFF is selected. 5 Mode dial 1 Press e while holding down AF/&/MF. • In MF or %MF mode, the menu is not displayed when e is pressed.
