12. Paper Jams 1Ja2mPsaper Jams 12.1 Recording paper jam 12.1.1 When the recording paper has jammed inside of the unit The display will show the following. PAPER JAMMED b OPEN TOP COVER Caution: L Do not pull out the jammed paper forcibly before opening the top cover. Important: L Close the manual input tray (3) before opening the top cover. 2 1 5 4 3 Caution: The fuser unit (4) gets hot. Do not touch it. Note: L Do not touch the transfer roller (5). L To prevent injuries, be careful not to put your hands under the top cover. 1 Lift the top cover release lever (1) and open the top cover (2). 78
