Messages Messages such as the following may appear on the LCD monitor during camera operation. Compression error Compression of the image you captured has failed. Change the quality/size and try again. No image & sound There are no image/sound files on the SD Memory Card or in the built-in memory. Memory card full. Built-in memory full. The SD Memory Card or the built-in memory is full and no more images can be saved. Insert a new SD Memory Card or delete unwanted images. (p.17, 88) Change the quality size and try again. (p.101) Memory card error Shooting and playback are impossible due to a problem with the SD Memory Card. Try displaying on a PC. Card not formatted The SD Memory Card you have inserted is unformatted or has been formatted on a PC or other device and is not compatible with this camera. (p.108) Card locked The SD Memory Card is write-protected. (p.18) Data being recorded The image is being recorded on the SD Memory Card or in the built-in memory. The protect setting or DPOF setting is being changed. The moving picture is being recorded. Camera cannot replay this image/sound You are trying to play back an image or sound in a format not supported by this camera. You may be able to play it back on another brand of camera or PC. Deleting The image is being deleted. 8 Battery depleted. No image to save. The batteries are exhausted.Replace with new batteries. If using rechargeable batteries, charge the batteries (p.12). Formatting... The SD Memory Card or built-in memory is being formatted. Image folder could not be created. The largest file number has been assigned to an image and no more images can be saved. Insert a new SD Memory Card or format the SD Memory Card or built-in memory. (p.108) Image & sound protected The image or sound you are trying to delete is protected. Appendix 122
