Wired Network Chapter 2. Using the computer 61 A wired network is a network environment used for a company network or broadband internet connection at home. • You can use wired LAN by using the LAN adapter (Optional). • Since these descriptions are written on the basis of the latest operating system, Windows 7, some of the content and the figures of the descriptions may differ depending on the operating system. Since the procedures for other Windows operating systems are similar, use the computer referring to these descriptions. • The figures used for the description are of a representative model. Therefore the figures may differ from the real ones. 3 ► For Windows 7 Click Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center and click on Change adapter settings in the left menu pane. 1 Connect the LAN adapter to the wired LAN port. 2 Connect the LAN cable to the connected LAN adapter. ► For Windows Vista Click Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center and click Manage Network Connections in the left menu pane. z x LAN adapter ► For Windows XP Click Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections > Network Connection.
