You can record images on the internal memory when there is no memory card inserted in the camera. When a memory card is inserted [Recording]: Images are recorded on the memory card. B [Playback]: Images on the memory card are played back. [Menu, Settings, etc.]: Various functions can be performed on images on the memory card. When there is no memory card inserted [Recording]: Images are recorded using the internal B Internal memory. memory • You cannot record movies to the internal memory when the movie image size is [1280×720(Fine)] or [1280×720(Standard)]. On image data stored in the internal memory We recommend that you copy (back up) data without error using one of the following methods. To copy (back up) data on a hard disk of your computer Perform the procedure on page 111 without a memory card inserted in the camera. To copy (back up) data on a memory card Prepare a memory card with sufficient free capacity, then perform the procedure explained in [Copy] (page 101). Notes • You cannot transfer image data on a memory card to the internal memory. • By making a USB connection between the camera and a computer with a cable for multi-use terminal, you can transfer data stored in the internal memory to a computer.
