To turn the surround effect off Press AUTO FORMAT DIRECT on the remote repeatedly until "A.F.D. AUTO" appears in the front panel display, or press MODE on the remote to display "2CH ST." Note When the input signal is multi channel source, AUTO FORMAT DIRECT PRO LOGIC, AUTO FORMAT DIRECT PRO LOGICII MOVIE/MUSIC are cancelled and the multi channel source is output directly. Using the Sound Effect This system provides you with 2 types of sound effect, simply by pressing a button. The sound effect is activated. x NIGHT MODE In this mode, you can enjoy sound effects or dialogue, as you would in a movie theatre, even at low volume. It is useful for watching movies at night. x DSGX With DSGX on, bass frequencies are effectively reinforced. To turn off the sound effect Press NIGHT MODE or DSGX on the remote again.
