Starting Your VAIO C1 PictureBook Computer Starting Your VAIO C1 PictureBook Computer 1 Lift the cover while holding the bottom of the computer firmly. Do not grasp the camera lens when opening the cover as this may damage the unit. Opening Your C1 PictureBook Computer Camera ✍ Turn the built-in camera towards you before closing the cover. Do not turn the built-in camera while the cover is closed. 2 Press the power button until the green power indicator light turns on. ✍ When starting your notebook for the first time, the VAIO InitManager dialog box will appear. Please select “OK” to begin initial setup. If you do not execute the initial setup, you cannot use part of VAIO original hardware functions such as Jog Dial, the Power Management utility, the scroll function, and keyboard shortcut key functions (Fn key). Turning on Your C1 PictureBook Computer Power button Power indicator ✍ If you push the power button for more than four seconds, the computer turns off. 31
