Additional information Glossary Channel number The frequency used for wireless communications. Wireless communications are possible only among client computers and Access Points that use the same channel. Data Security IEEE 802.11 compliant security system (also called WEP or Encryption). Using the encryption key as the password, only client computers and Access Points that have the same key may log onto the same wireless LAN.
