SETTING THE DIGITAL SECURITY CODE The Digital Security Code is automatically set when you charge the battery. 1 h.,r,.2frDEi,F3 N:=* TALABATT. The code can be changed as often as desired. 7- Note An error tone gives warning if you press any number other than 0 to 65535 (such as 66000). THE BATTERY LOW LED • When the battery pack in the handset is very low and needs to be recharged, the TALK/BATT. LOW LED will blink on and off, and in addition the handset will sound a short beep every 3 seconds when in the talk mode. When this occurs, complete the call that you are making as rapidly as possible, and return the handset to the base unit for charging. Note You must recharge the handset for more than at least one minute to cancel the low battery condition warning tone. USING THE CHANNEL SELECTOR BUTTON Your FT-6003 selects the channel by pressing the CHANNEL button when interference noise is heard. The TALK/BATT. LOW LED keeps lighting while Talk mode. , Note When the channel selection is achieved, the TALK/BATT. LOW indicator turns off for about half second.
