All trays require control panel settings for both paper type and size. ■ Do not overload the paper tray. Loading Paper Guidelines
After loading any tray and adjusting the paper guides, set the paper type and size as required at
the control panel. All trays require control panel settings for both paper type and size.
Do not overload the paper tray. See the tray label for the maximum fill line indicators.
If excessive jams occur, turn the paper or media over. If jams continue to occur, use paper,
transparencies, or other specialty media from a new package.
Use only paper envelopes. Do not use envelopes with plastic windows or metal clasps.
Only use paper, transparencies, or specialty media that is flat. If frequent jamming occurs
with card stock or heavier paper that is less than 175 mm (7 in.) long, reduce the number
of sheets in the tray.
Tray 1
Top fill line - Maximum fill line for paper.
Lower fill line - Maximum fill line for transparencies
and envelopes.
Trays 2-4
1 - Maximum fill line for paper.
2 - Maximum fill line for envelopes.
3 - Maximum fill line for transparencies.
