Interior Convenience Items Glove Box An open glove box can cause serious injury to your passenger in a crash, even if the passenger is wearing the seat belt. Always keep the glove box closed while driving. Console Compartment Instruments and Controls To lock GLOVE BOX Open the glove box by pulling out the handle. Close it with a firm push. Lock or unlock the glove box with the master key or the built-in key on models with keyless access system. The glove box light comes on only when the parking lights are on. To open the console compartment, push in on the lever and lift the armrest. To close, lower the armrest, and push it down until it latches. Make sure to slide back the tray before opening the console compartment. 216 2013 TL
